For over 30 years Jan Bidwell has studied and traveled to enhance her meditation experience and training.

Get to know me

Jan has over 35 years of professional experience, and 33 years of meditation training. She is a graduate of New York University, an author, and speaker.  Jan is a licensed clinical social worker, is known as an activist, and as an early adapter in the world of meditation.

She has helped people work on their outer lives and their inner environments for decades. Jan’s first book, Sitting Still: Meditation as the Secret Weapon of Activism has received national recognition. Jan uses proven scientific research to teach practical techniques to unlock your full potential. Jan is a well respected author with books on Amazon and other leading retailers.

Over 9,000 hours of meditation training from India to California, to Manhattan and Upstate New York. Over 400 hours with Anusara Yoga founder, John Friend. Certified in Medical Meditation and Weight Management.

Experience

Private practice, and agency work, in Clinical Social Work/Psychotherapy 1984 to present; Individual, Family, and Group Therapist.
Meditation Teacher 1986 to present: Teaches individual clients privately, Led weekly meditation groups, Teaches meditation day-long workshops, and weekend workshops.
